God honored him, and he who called him, O Zakaria, that we preach to you with the glossary of his name. Because God revived his heart with faith and prophecy, and Al -Hussein bin Al -Fadl said: Because God revived him with obedience.
The prophecy came up, so people forbade sins and ordered the good and baptized people to get rid of the sins, and those people took this way of baptism and called him "John the Baptist".
May God teach him the book And the wisdom while he is a boy. The Almighty said: “He will live the book of the book with strength, and the ruling came to him in 12 ﴾[Maryam: 12]. Abdullah bin Al -Mubarak said: Muammar said: The boys said to Yahya bin Zakaria: Go to us. He said: What to play is our creation. He said: And that is his saying, “We gave him the ruling.”
Yahya bin Zakaria in Islam
Yahya's name was mentioned in the Qur’an five times:
﴿ So the angels, and he is a standing in the wickedness that God bless you with a living with a word from God and the Lord of God, and the Lord of God, and the Lord of God, [Al -Imran: 39]
﴿ And Zakaria, Yahya, Issa, and Layas, each of the righteous 85 ﴾[Al -Anam: 85]
O Zakaria, we preach to you with a whims of his name.
You live the book of the book with strength, and the ruling came to him in 12 ﴾[Maryam: 12]
﴿ We answered him and gave us a greetThey were rushing in goodness, calling us desire and aid, and they were humbled 90 ﴾[Al -Anbiya: 90]
His story was narrated with his father Zakaria in the Qur’an in Surat Maryam, as Zakaria was invoking God to give him a child after he was stabbed at the age and was the wife of Zakaria as a barren, so God gave him Yahya despite his wife’s sterility and her age.
His mention came in a number of prophetic hadiths, including what was narrated by Ahmed bin Hanbal, he said: Affan told us, Abu Khalaf Musa bin Khalaf, Yahya bin Abi Katheer told us, on the authority of Zaid bin Salam, on the authority of his grandfather, developed, on the authority of Al -Harith Al -Ash'ari that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:
Allah has revealed to Yahya with five words that he work with them and command the kids of Israel to work with them, as if he slowed them, so Issa came to him and said: God commanded you with five words that you work with them and order the children of Israel that they work with them, so that you will tell them. He said: My brother, do not do, I am afraid that if you preceded me with them to be shed or tortured. He said: So the children of Israel gathered in the holy house evenThe mosque was filled with premiums, then he engaged them and said: God has revealed to me five words to work on them and command the children of Israel to work with them, the first of them do not share anything with God, for the example of those who involved in God, like a man who bought a servant of his servant, then he said: Work and raise me, so make work and raise his master, so which of you is satisfied that his servant is so?! For God created you and your sustenance, do not share anything with Him. And if you rise to the prayer, do not pay attention, then God will accept his face to his servant unless he pays attention. And he commanded you to fast, and like this, like a man in a gang with a bitterness of a musk, all of them like to find her wind, and fasting is better for God than the wind of musk. And he commanded you to believe, and like this, like a man, the enemy captured him, so they documented his hand to his neck, and brought him closer to strike his neck, so he said, is you to bring me myself from you, and made a little and a lot until he himself. And he commanded you to remember God a lot, and like this, like a man he asked The enemy accelerated in its impact, until he came as a fortified fortress and he has achieved himself in it, as well as the servant does not escape from Satan except with the remembrance of God.
There are other hadiths, but there are weak, evil, and al -Madlis.
His characteristics
Yahya is the first to acknowledge and believe Jesus, peace be upon him. In his worship
And Israel said: Issa Ibn Maryam and Yahya bin Zakaria were my aunt, and Jesus was wearing wool, and Yahya was wearing lint, and one of them was not a dinar or a dirham, nor a slave or a nation, nor what they house for, wherever the night came to them, Owa, so when they wanted to separate, Yahya said to him: He commanded me, he said: Do not get angry, he said, I can only be angry.

And God mentioned his righteousness with his parents and obeying them for them and ending and leaving their disobedience in word and deed.
Ibn al -Mubarak said, on the authority of Wahib ibn al -Ward, he said: “Zakaria was lost his son Yahya, three days, so he came out, so he did not. He regretted a grave and stayed in it, crying for himself. He said: O sons, I ask you for three days, and you are in a grave you have changed it, a standing in which he cries in it?! He said: O Father, if you told me that between Paradise and the fire is a reward, it is only cut off with the tears of crying? He said to him: He cries my children, so they cried all. Ibn Asakar narrated from him, that he said: “He is the familyParadise does not sleep for the pleasure of what they are in the nakedness, so it is so that they are not to the friends that they do not sleep; Because in their hearts, the love of God is in their hearts. Then he said: How much between the two norms and how much between them. And they mentioned that it was a lot of crying, until the crying raised in his cheeks from the many blood.
As for God's saying about him:﴿ And a master, a confusion, and a prophet of the righteous, it was said that it is meant by the one who does not come. And it was said otherwise, and it is more like the Almighty saying, “Give me a good offspring.”
His death
Books did not mention the time the Prophet of God lived. But it is known that he was born in the year in which issa was born, and he was slaughtered in the mihrab in implementation of Herodia's desire by King Herod.
They mentioned in his killing reasons, the most famous of which is that some of the kings of that time in Damascus wanted to marry some of his incest or whoever does not have a marriage to her, so he forbade him from that, so he remained in herself from him, so when he was among them, he was among them.And between the king, what he loves from her, the blood of Yahya, so he gave him to her, so he sent to her who killed him and came with his head and his blood in his body, so he said that she perished immediately and her hours. It was said: Rather, the woman loved him and sent him and he refused to her.
Then he differed in the killing of Yahya bin Zakaria, was he in the Al -Aqsa Mosque or with others on two sayings? Al -Thawri said on the authority of Al -Amash on the authority of Shammar bin Attia, who said: He was killed on the rock in the house of the Holy, seventy prophets of them, Yahya bin Zakaria.
Ibn Katheer mentioned at the beginning and the end, that they were killed before shedding a victory over the Children of Israel, and he also mentioned a hadith in their killing, but it was his weakness and lineage to the Nakara.
Several traces of the Companions and followers in their killing were mentioned by Al -Tabari and Ibn Katheer, and it appears that they are taken from the People of the Book, and one of the most correct of what was narratedSo he brought her head in Tust. Some of them said that he raised to the sky with an inference by the Almighty saying:﴿ And peace be upon him on the day of a child and the day he dies and the day he will send a neighborhood 15 ﴾[Maryam: 15], so it was said that peace in death means that he was not killed.
